Pro Team Infamous asked for an aluminum barrel tip that met the requirements of the skeleton squad. Their wishlist was clear; The barrel must be the best in class in the following categories: accuracy, quietest sound signature, must work in all weather conditions, and durable enough to withstand everything they put their equipment through. This meant reimagining porting.
We are proud to introduce the Infamous FXL Tip with Silencio Linear Porting. Patent Pending Silencio Linear Porting was developed to deliver on those demands of the pro players. Quiet, Consistent, Laser Accuracy and Liquid Intrusion Resistant.
Quiet
Silencio uses elongated slots instead of round holes. Barrels now can have up to 114 individual porting holes. Each one has its own release of air, its own sound. Silencio Linear Porting has 20 ports. Air is given a larger path per port to escape, leading to a smoother exciting airflow and less sound from turbulent air.
Consistent
Every time the paintball passes a port there is an abrupt change in the pressure release ahead of it. Each abrupt change in pressure causes the ball to move slightly. Silencio™ drastically reduces the porting holes and pressure changes. And since the slots are elongated, the pressure drop is closer to a linear function. The ball exits the barrel with less abrupt pressure changes and a smoother airflow, giving a better ball on ball precision.
Liquid Intrusion Resistance
Silencio Linear Porting is less than 1/3 the width of standard porting holes. That width was selected for a reason. Any time there is water or paint on the barrel, it gets trapped in the porting and the surface tension of the liquid holds it there and prevents it from dripping into the barrel. The next shot creates a pressure wave that blows out any trapped liquids. Fittingly, this barrel’s first tournament was Dallas 2019.
The Silencio™ XL tip was not cobbled together from existing tech. It was designed. It was engineered. Airflow analysis was performed on models in a variety of situations. Thousands of simulated shots were taken before the machine shop was even called. Only after that was completed did field testing begin. Hours of real world testing further refined the Silencio XL Tip, including the down pours at NXL Dallas 2019. We found that the barrel met or exceeded every requirement AND we patented the hell out of it.

I love this barrel tip, had one for my luxe x but unfortunately it isn’t compatible with the freak xl that came with my method era shocker. I guess they must have changed the barrel up a little to make it more limited editon. Super wack on dlx/method part for doing that…..
Color and finish of the barrel is great. Definitely a different sound signature. Not so poppy. Seems a bit more accurate over my xl all American tip. Definitely worth it.

Very quiet and accurate, I’m very pleased with this barrel tip. It looks great on my gold 170r.
Clears rain and broken paint well. The dust black finish matches the Luxe X dust black fairly well.
When it comes to sound i dont see a different but it does clean out paint better with the lines then the stock with the dots and even shooting cheap paint balls where in a pattern.

Amazing barrel tip! used in the rain the first weekend I got it. Shot great all day. I wasn't expecting real-world performance improvements outside of the rain and that's about spot on. It's a tad quieter but the quality is otherworldly. Great and fast shipping and I got a nice gift with it. Can't express enough the great service this company and team provide for the products.
I bought her barrel the day before the NXL Midwest three man, and was extremely excited to use it. We started the first point clean marker(PE CS3 and checked at the Planet Eclipse booth for new eyes too which they changed) and everything, and after making it past the fifty snake and having the clearest shot on two players, the barrel randomly broke paint and missed every shot on a player that was five feet away from me. With the advertisement on the website saying, “quietest sound signature”, it really isn't. It sounds like a blunderbuss. I think the whole field would hear you if you were trying to use it and be sneaky. Using this is actually a ones’ worst nightmare. At first I thought, “Oh it could just be the paint because of the weather,”; however, it wasn’t. Second point, clean hopper, eyes, round paint(triple checked), and barrel (squeaky clean and running a .689 insert) the same thing happened but instead of being on the other side of the field when it started chopping. It was right off the break. Even better. After the first two points of the tournament, I changed back to the normal FreakXL barrel, the marker worked fine for the rest of the day. Ironically if we won one of those two points we could have made it into the playoffs; however I didn’t want to just push the barrel away, and gave it another shot at CEPS. During CEPS I checked everything just like NXL, marker, eyes, everything just for the barrel to start chopping the paint once I made it to my fifty snake. Once again, I didn’t want to quit on this barrel, so cleaned everything AGAIN to make sure this wasn’t a barrel problem. Behold I dived, made it to my snake two, and popped up to see a dorito guy looking like a deer staring at the headlight. Brought my marker up, started to ramp, and my favorite “paint confetti” all over the place just to miss every shot. After that point I swapped barrels right away, and didn’t have any problems afterwards just like NXL. After the CEPS event I just had to triple check it wasn't the barrel. I brought a Infamous, normal FreakXL, CS3 and CRBN PWR barrel. They were all clean before firing even though my marker was checked. The Infamous after ramping started to chop again; on the other hand, the others didn’t chop and were more consistent when I started ramping. I could just have gotten a faulty barrel because based on the review they didn’t have a problem, but unfortunately I had many and couldn’t get myself to use it again. Because the CS3 comes with a PWR barrel maybe that would be better instead of freaking the normal Infamous PWR barrel would be better to use; however, it is really hard for me to buy another barrel from them just because of the experience I had with this barrel.
Looks great, can’t wait to try it out.
The order I got was a dust gold instead of a gloss gold barrel, but it still looks cool

Picked up the tip and back in gloss gold for my black/black Shocker CVO. Looks great. If only Shocker were not sold out of the gold accent kit for the XLS/CVO... The sound is makes is also very cool and satisfying. However, the gold on the top and bottom pieces are slightly mismatched, not too noticeable or bothering enough that I'm not into it, but if you are incredibly specific about things, maybe consider just the tip atop a marker-matching back you're into. Overall very cool, only slightly heavier than a Deadly Winds carbon, and I like the bling gloss option, everyone has dust-this, dust-that, but sometimes I want mine gloss candy-painted.
